UCSIA-IJS Chair on Jewish-Christian relations

The UCSIA-IJS Chair promotes the study of the history of Judaism and Hebraism from the perspective of Jewish-Christian dialogue. From this point of view, we interpret the place of this tradition in contemporary European culture and interfaith culture.

UCSIA-IJS Chair on Jewish-Christian relations

The chair consists of an academic component for students and researchers (for example, a guest lecture, a master class or an academic workshop) and a lecture for the broader audience.

Prof. dr. Vivian Liska is the coordinator of the chair at the IJS. An internationally renowned foreign academic holds the chair.

In the 2008-2009 academic year, UCSIA and the Institute of Jewish Studies (IJS) at the University of Antwerp organised the chair for the first time.
