Migration Challenging European Solidarity<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Migration remains one of the most pressing and complex challenges for the European Union.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Today, European migration policy focuses on implementing the European Pact on Migration and Asylum: a multi-year approach that works towards a common return policy, better coordination of rescue operations, combating human trafficking and strengthening legal migration and integration.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Special attention is paid to tackling exploitation in the labour market.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    The next chapter on European Migration and Asylum Policy: a fair and firm system that manages migration and is true to European values<\/p>

    EU migration policy has reached a turning point. Ten years after the 2015 migration crisis, EU countries have agreed a far-reaching architecture for a new, more European system that balances solidarity and responsibility. The challenge is now to deliver on that, to change the narrative on migration, continue to honour our commitments and upholding our values. For this, work needs to continue to strengthen external borders, bolster relations with third countries to counter illegal immigration and migrant smuggling, and create the right conditions for more labour mobility.<\/p><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
