We at UCSIA also participated in a Peace Lab and designed our own flag. The result? A colourful composition of sunbeams and water, symbolizing our vision:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This week, our flag is flying among dozens of other peace flags in the impressive Temple of Peace \u2013 a metal structure that brings together all the stories and symbols.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Around the temple, a ten-day festival unfolds, with talks, theatre, music, films, and workshops: a place for encounter, reflection, and inspiration.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Have you spotted the UCSIA peace flag at the Temple of Peace<\/b> in Mechelen’s Botanical Garden?<\/p>\n

The peace festival<\/b> is an initiative of our fellow resident and partner Pax Christi<\/b> Flanders and runs until Sunday, November 2, with a rich programme of lectures, theatre, music, film, and workshops.<\/p>\n

In times of war and rearmament, we often forget that peace is something we build together \u2013 by engaging in open dialogue about what peace means today and how we can work towards it together.<\/p>\n

Since June, Pax Christi<\/b> has organized over fifty Peace Labs<\/b> throughout Flanders and Brussels: creative meetings where people from all walks of life came together to reflect on peace. In schools, social organizations, prisons and associations, people drew, sewed and talked.
