Both organizations share a common mission: to create a genuine free haven where different voices from diverse backgrounds can be heard in a respectful manner, discussing the social and cultural challenges of today and tomorrow. Always well-informed, with an eye for nuance and inviting further reflection.
To promote their shared mission even more effectively in the future, Streven Vrijplaats and UCSIA vzw have decided to join forces. From September 2025, UCSIA vzw will be the responsible publisher of Streven Vrijplaats. The magazine will continue to exist online with its characteristic focus on critical, nuanced and carefully written contributions. The editorial team will be reinforced with at least one representative from UCSIA vzw.

As before, the editorial team consists of volunteers and operates entirely without subsidies. Donations can be made to account BE52 7350 1970 2809 of ‘UCSIA VZW – Streven’.
These funds will, of course, only be used for the maintenance and further qualitative development of the online magazine.
