Call for projects: Students stepping up in service-learning

How do students experience service-learning and what exactly do they learn from it? The Flemish Network for Service-Learning in Higher Education is looking for inspiring examples for its annual networking event on 5 March 2027.

Call for projects: Students stepping up in service-learning

Learning With Social Impact

The networking event ‘Students Step Up: Learning with Social Impact’ takes the student’s perspective as its starting point. Together, we will examine what and how students learn through service-learning, and the role of the lecturer in a powerful learning environment.

Do you have, or know of, a course, project or research initiative that puts students at the centre? Then submit an abstract of no longer than one A4 page and choose your format: presentation, pitch, workshop or practice-boost. We’d be delighted if you could involve students and partner organisations in your contribution.

The networking event will take place on Friday 5 March 2027, from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm (followed by a reception), at the City Campus of the University of Antwerp (Prinsstraat 13).

Please send your proposal to slvlaanderen@ucsia.be by Monday 30 November.
