The Social Contract Revisited

In the past, the social contract theory was an important part of philosophy. UCSIA wants to go back to the beginning of the social contract theory, trying to discover what we can learn from different philosophers. We will do this with the help of different lecturers who will guide us trough Hobbes, Rousseau, Locke, Rawls, Nozick, Atkinson and Picketty.

Alexander Rosenthal, lecturer at the Center for Advanced Government (Johns Hopkins University, USA), will guide us as we look into John Locke and his views on the social contract theory. The other lectures in this series will be held in Dutch.

You can subscribe for the lecture on John Locke. A few days before the lecture, you will receive an e-mail with the Zoom-link. Registration is free. Please not that when you register you mark ‘Online via Zoom’ and then mark ‘Locke’.
