The Future Is Not a Clean Slate

This 11th edition closes the first online series of U-Turn debates, dedicated to a reflection on the impact of the health crisis which forces us to rethink institutional arrangements in socio-economic policy, culture and society. In this session we focus on the approach that is needed to combat the crisis and build the future. Should we start anew from zero, return to the fundamentals and adjust the system where needed or will we go back to business as usual?

We invite two opinion makers for their assessment: former chief editor of the global magazine MO*, Gie Goris, and historian of science Bert De Munck of the University of Antwerp.
