Book Launch - Between Giants

Political scientist Tom Sauer’s new book, published by Borgerhoff & Lamberigts, makes the complex reality of international politics accessible and easy to understand.

It highlights what is clearly going wrong in the world, but above all the underlying shifts in power that are at play. Central to this is the question of how Europe should position itself in relation to the major players on the world stage and what choices need to be made in a world where the balance of power is changing rapidly.

Focusing in particular on the United States, China, Russia and the European Union, Professor Sauer explains how states act, why they clash and to what extent international cooperation is still possible.

The author will present his book, followed by a response from journalist Gie Goris in a public debate organized by UCSIA and Pax Christi Flanders.
