
Service-Learning and Diversity in an Urban Context

The Flemish Network for Service-Learning in Higher Education organized a second online session on “Service-Learning and Diversity in an Urban Context”. In this session focus will be put on both the challenges and opportunities of service-learning to effectively develop diversity sensitive reciprocal relations between students, civil society and docents? In this online session, two plenary speakers and six presentations of good practices, will discuss the methods and tools that can be appropriated in order to stimulate understanding of the voices, concerns, rights and needs of minority groups and how service-learning can be used as a catalysator for diversity sensitive cooperation, co-learning and living together in an urban/metropolitan context.
How?
The stimulation of cross-over and in-depth debate on the matter of service-learning and diversity in an urban context via two lectures and six presentations of good practices.
Who?
The session is open to anyone with experience or interest for service-learning in higher education. Teachers and policy makers in the secondary education are also welcome to join the session.
